The Fortian alumni associations began in 1894 in order to:
1. Build a Strong Community:
Create a place where members can connect, have fun, and support each other.
2. Give Back to Fort Street:
Actively contribute to the success of Fort Street High School through volunteer work, mentorship, or other initiatives.
3. Celebrate Our Legacy:
Honour the rich history and traditions of Fort Street while embracing innovation and progress.

Our 2026 Annual General Meeting was held at the school on Tuesday, 11th November. The following were elected to the 2025/2026 Management Committee, each person’s graduation year is shown in brackets after their name:

Membership
13 new members recorded, spanning years 1971 to 2024; one member's year to be investigated.
Careers Mentoring
Summary and recommendations from the Speed Dating morning completed.
Twilight at the Fort - Review
Approximately 120 students attended, roughly half from years 2000 and later; 10 staff present.
Full review to come.
Fort Fest
Ideas discussed include a visible presence at the event.
Membership Brochure
Draft and proposed content circulated for review.
Constitution Review
Draft walked through at the meeting; review schedule to follow.
Final amendments to be ready for the AGM by the 30 September meeting.
Annual Dinner
Date confirmed: 16 October - planning in progress.
Merchandising
Key Rings and Car Grille Badges are now available to sell online and at events.
Faber Est Newsletter
Issue 105: published with an alternate Fortian story as the planned one wasn't ready.
Mini Reunions
Idea raised to target specific year groups for future Twilight events.
Fortians Archive
Kirby Interviews project ongoing.
